A message from the Founder

The idea of creating opportunities for children living outside Wales to learn Welsh came from my personal experience. As a mother from Llanrhystud, Ceredigion, I was eager for my son to continue his Welsh-medium education when we moved to London. Through this vision, I established Ysgol Sadwrn as a way to offer online Welsh lessons and also to act as a facilitator for children to socialise and make new friends.

With over 30 years of experience in education – including as a headteacher and a university lecturer – I have the knowledge and passion to ensure that every child feels confident and happy while learning Welsh. Today, we are incredibly proud to have welcomed children from five continents to our lessons, fostering a truly international community.
